A climatogram is a graph representing the average rainfall and average temperatures per year. This climatogram is representative of Manus, Brazil where the largest Amazon Rainforest lays. The blue bars represent the average precipitation, and the orange line represents the average temperature in each month.
The greatest average precipitation is January to May. The amount of rain tops at 300 millimeters. That is about 12 inches. This is extreme, compared to the precipitation high for Suwanee, Georgia, United States which is a mere 6 inches. The largest rainforest is almost double of Georgia's rainfall! The low is about 2 inches, or 50 millimeters, in the dryer months of June to October.
The hottest months in the Amazon Rainforest are August to November. The temperature reaches a high of 82°F in this tropical jungle. The rest of the year, from December to July, is moderately 80°F. The temperature does not vary much in the tropical rainforest. This constant climate aids the wildlife growth.
This hot and humid climate allows for many exotic wildlife to prosper. Thanks to this wonderful wildlife, we have the most special and original organisms in the tropical rainforest.
